Our Story

The Bruce Law Association was incorporated as a not for profit association, to serve the needs and promote the interests of the legal profession in Bruce County.

Membership is voluntary and fee based, and our Executive Team is elected by our members. The Board Members are unpaid volunteers who give generously of their time and talents to oversee and manage the work of Association.

We presently have just under 100 members, including in-county full members and out-of-county associate members.

Thankfully, our Association is not "all work and no play." We host an annual AGM and Christmas Social for our members, early every December. Our members also often participate in social events hosted by neighboring law associations, such as the Grey Law Association Annual Golf Tournament.

Many of our members are also associate members in our neighbouring law associations, and many of their members are also associate members of our association - which allows us to use and enjoy the libraries and other facilities situated in each other's courthouses.
