As mentioned in the email sent to our Members Dec. 14/22, we are expecting to have to close the Library between Christmas and New Year, as the County is installing new carpet in the lower level. Unfortunately they have still not received a "firm" date from Cuneos about installation. Cuneos have only told them they "hope" to do the install the week between Christmas and New Year.
Whenever this happens, all the furniture, workstations, copier, computers and printers, movable stacks & shelves (and the books on them) will be removed by the County employees so the carpet can be installed, and then moved back in after the install.
As such, when this all takes place
The Library Will Have to be Closed Out of Necessity
Given that we have not received any "firm" dates yet, we are simply putting our Members on notice that the Library may or may likely be inaccessible the week of Dec. 26 to 30/22.
John will be on vacation that week in any event, except that if the work does go ahead, he will be in to take down and remove all the computers, workstations, printers and tech stuff.
If we determine for certain that the work will not be going ahead that week, John will let you know. Similarly, if we receive notice of "firm" alternate dates, we
will also make sure to let you all know.
